Cookies and local storage
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Which cookies and browser storage the iGuyton website and web demo use, and how to turn visit statistics off.
1. What the site stores in your browser
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| theme | Local storage, this site | Remembers the light or dark theme you chose | Until you clear it |
| umami.disabled | Local storage, this site | Present only if you turn statistics off (section 3): tells Umami not to count your visits | Until you clear it |
| __cf_bm | Cookie, Cloudflare | Security: tells legitimate traffic from bots (technical, strictly necessary) | 30 minutes |
All of these are technical and need no consent. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
2. Visit statistics (Umami)
We use Umami, open-source statistics software installed on the controller's server in Italy. For each page view it records the page, the referring site, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and country. It sets no cookies and keeps no identifier in your browser. The IP address is used only to work out the country and is not stored. Visits are grouped with a code that changes every day, so a visitor cannot be recognised from one day to the next or followed across sites. If your browser sends the Do Not Track signal, you are not counted. Statistics never include what you type in the demo.
The data is used only in aggregate, to understand how the site is used, on the basis of legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR), and is deleted after 24 months. No third party receives it. Under the Italian Garante's cookie guidelines (10 June 2021), anonymous statistics of this kind need no consent.
3. Turn statistics off
Statistics are on in this browser.
The choice is saved in this browser only (umami.disabled). If you clear the browser's data or use another browser, it must be made again.
4. Contacts
