Privacy notice
iGuyton app
Last updated: 18 October 2026
How the iGuyton app for iPhone, iPad and Android processes data, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Controller
Dr. Pietro Bertini, physician, VAT IT02044000491. Privacy contact: [email protected]. This notice covers the iGuyton app for iPhone, iPad and Android. For the website and the web demo, the site privacy notice applies.
2. Data the app collects: the Premium subscription only
The app works without registration. We do not transmit, receive or keep any data you enter (cases, notes, measurements) or about your use of the app, and we use no advertising identifiers or analytics tools.
iGuyton Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), which process the payment under their own policies; we never see your payment details. To know whether Premium is active, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA) as a data processor: it receives an anonymous app identifier generated on the device, the store receipts of your purchases (products, dates, renewals, cancellations, country and currency) and technical data about the device and app version. This data is used only to provide and restore the subscription (art. 6.1.b GDPR) and is kept for as long as needed for that purpose and for the accounting obligations of the controller. RevenueCat may process data in the United States under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (RevenueCat privacy policy, data processing addendum).
3. Patient data you enter
For each case you enter a label, optional notes and haemodynamic measurements, which may be health data (art. 9 GDPR). This data is saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. For this data you, or the institution you work for, are the data controller: the app is a tool you use to calculate, follow and report, and we have no access to that data.
We recommend that you:
- label cases without names (for example a bed number or initials);
- protect the device with a passcode, fingerprint or face recognition and keep the operating system's encryption enabled;
- share PDF reports only through channels suitable for health data;
- delete cases you no longer need, according to your institution's retention rules.
4. Only the most recent cases
The app keeps the 10 most recently updated cases. Before a case is removed to make room for a new one, the app tells you which case would be removed and asks you to confirm.
5. Device permissions
The app asks for no device permissions. Archive files are opened with the system file picker, which gives the app access only to the file you choose.
6. Sharing and backups
When you share or print a PDF report, you choose the recipient and channel through the operating system; further processing follows the rules of the chosen service. If device backups are enabled (iCloud or Google), the operating system may include the app's data in your backup, according to your Apple or Google account settings.
With "Export archive" the app creates a file with your cases, which you save or send wherever you choose (for example Files or a network drive) to restore it with "Import archive". The file contains health data: keep it somewhere protected. We neither receive nor keep copies.
7. Deletion
You can delete single measurements and whole cases in the app. Uninstalling the app makes the operating system erase all data saved by the app on the device. If the subscription ends, your cases stay on the device, locked, and are available again when you renew. To have subscription data held by RevenueCat erased, write to the contact in section 1.
8. Stores
The app is downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, which process your account data according to their own policies. We receive no data identifying you from them.
9. Clinical use
iGuyton estimates physiological indices from the values you enter, with a published method. Results support, and never replace, the clinician's judgement; diagnosis and clinical decisions remain the physician's.
10. Rights and contacts
For any question you can write to the contact in section 1. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali or with the authority of your country.
11. Changes
If the app introduces features that transmit data in the future (for example a cloud backup), this notice will be updated before release and, where necessary, we will ask for your consent.
